More About Sam

Sam Williams, better known as DJ Sam I Am, is a multi-talented entertainer whose career spans music, film, and design. A former member and Assistant Director of the Grammy-winning Soul Children of Chicago, Sam's musical journey began at a young age and has taken him to stages across the globe, from the Oprah Winfrey Show with Mariah Carey to venues in Poland, Switzerland, and Israel.

Sam’s creative expertise extends beyond music. As a graphic designer, he has worked on projects for Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, Grammy artist Keith Sweat, and brands like Quaker Oats and AKA Sorority.

In addition to his design work, Sam has made appearances in films and TV shows, including Barbershop, Spider-Man 2, and Empire, showcasing his skills as an actor and performer.

As a DJ, Sam has headlined events like the Bud Billiken Parade, iHeart Radio concerts, and destination weddings in Los Cabos and Cape Town. Whether spinning at a corporate event, hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration, or creating unforgettable moments for private parties, Sam’s energy and charisma make every event extraordinary.

A proud graduate of the Second City Training Academy, Sam’s talents also include hosting, music production, and choir direction.
